HAMBURGER ABENDBLATT ABOUT GEORG MÜNCHBACH – SOLO EXHIBITION
“Time passes, but art remains”; was one of the guiding principles of artist Georg Munchbach. The solo exhibition will be on display at Pashmin Art Gallery for four weeks in memory of the artist Georg Munchbach. Georg Münchbach was born and raised in Freiburg im Breisgau. He studied art and philosophy in Düsseldorf. He was a student of B. Knittel, v. Wecus and B. Goller, famous artists of the time. In the 1950s he went on a search for traces in cultural history and traveled to numerous European and Arab countries. In 1955 he married and in 1970 bought a roadhouse in Wittenwater in the Heath. Here he began to establish an independent studio for steel and wood sculpture, graphics and photography in conjunction with a permanent gallery. He began to develop his own artistic concept of visible spatial energy.
