On September 10, 2016, Pashmin Art Gallery Hamburg opened a vernissage with the topic: “Hamburg: A Hommage”.
Their relation to Hamburg and the landscape surrounding the city, the Elbe to the North Sea coast is clearly seen. In line with technical changes, modern industrial and port facilities and traffic on the streets and rivers have been added to the motifs of landscape painting.
The picture of the landscape has changed. But in contrast to the older generation of artists, whose attention had focused on the harmful consequences of industrial overexploitation for nature and the environment, the younger colleagues mostly do without critical accents. Their picture of Hamburg has brightened again.
