Vernissage: Saturday, 14 June 2025 at 7:00 PM

Pashmin Art Gallery is pleased to announce the solo exhibition and official book launch of Swiss artist Olena Linse, taking place from 14 to 20 June 2025 at its Hamburg location. Titled Olena Linse – Labyrinth, this special event invites visitors into Linse’s vibrant artistic world, where mythology, feminism, and the expressive force of the human body intersect in powerful, multilayered compositions.

The exhibition, curated by Natalja Nouri, will present a selection of Linse’s recent and iconic works that revisit classical narratives from a distinctly feminist, postmodern perspective. The artist will be present throughout the opening weekend. The vernissage will be held on Saturday, 14 June at 7:00 PM, with opening remarks by Nour Nouri, director of Pashmin Art Gallery, and a keynote lecture by Dr. Davood Khazaie, international curator and co-editor of the accompanying publication.

About the Book: Olena Linse – Labyrinth

Published in a bilingual German-English edition by Pashmin Art Publisher in 2025, Olena Linse – Labyrinth explores the philosophical, political, and aesthetic dimensions of Linse’s work. Edited by Nour Nouri and Dr. Davood Khazaie, the volume features main chapters by Dr. Sohrab Tavousi, an introduction into the life and art of the artist by Dr. Peter Schütt, essays by Tavousi and Khazaie, a preface by Nour Nouri, and an epilogue by Karsten Linse.

Structured across three core chapters, the book examines Linse’s use of parody to deconstruct classical myths, her evolution within feminist discourse from early suffrage to third-wave intersectionality, and her portrayal of the female body as a site of knowledge, resistance, and transformation. Richly illustrated and critically engaged, the book positions Linse as a leading voice in contemporary feminist art.
