Pashmin Art Gallery, Hamburg is thrilled to present “Mythos, Movements, Nature & Horizons – A Quartet of Artistic Worlds,” a dynamic group exhibition featuring the exceptional works of four contemporary artists: Anna van den Hövel, Helios Boechat, Horst Wagner, and Theodoros Nikolaidis. The exhibition will be on display from April 12 to May 9, 2025, with the opening event on April 12 at 19:00.

Curated by Natalja Nouri, this exhibition invites viewers on a journey through the dynamic interplay of nature, movement, myth, and the boundless horizons of human imagination. Through the unique visions of four distinct artists, each work unfolds a narrative that bridges the natural world with the emotional landscapes that shape it. Moderator Jasmin Eikmeier (Art Consultant) will guide through the evening, while Dr. Davood Khazaie (International Curator, Pashmin Art) will give an insightful opening lecture that will provide a deeper understanding of each artist’s perspective and creative significance.

The Artists

🎨 Anna van den Hövel creates abstract compositions that resonate deeply with viewers, blending color, texture, and movement to evoke profound emotional responses. Her artistic style balances structure and abstraction. She works in layers over months, often using unconventional materials like earth, mortar, and lacquers. “I have a vision, but the materials react and change. It’s a constant dialogue between me and the painting,” she says. The tactile nature of her work gives it an elemental quality, grounding her art while evoking impermanence.

🎨 Helios Boechat invites us on a mesmerizing journey through the vibrant and chaotic energy of nature. His works capture the fleeting vitality of life, evoking a sense of time, movement, and untamed power. Through fluid, organic forms and intricate details, he explores the delicate balance of the natural world, drawing viewers into its mysteries with dynamic textures and rich, expressive compositions.

🎨 Horst Wagner masterfully blends narrative storytelling with evocative landscapes, crafting worlds where imagination and reality seamlessly intertwine. His compositions transport viewers into serene, otherworldly realms while also conveying themes of strength, isolation, and sanctuary. Through his art, Wagner bridges the gap between fantasy and everyday life, inviting deep reflection on the human condition and our connection to the spaces we inhabit.

🎨 Theodoros Nikolaidis explores the cyclical nature of life and its spiritual depth through mythologically inspired compositions. His works exude serenity while also delving into themes of chaos, fluidity, and the fragility of time. Through dynamic representations of nature’s forces and harmonious geometric forms, he invites contemplation on balance, interconnectedness, and the deeper rhythms that shape existence.

“Mythos, Movements, Nature & Horizons” is not just an exhibition—it is an invitation to journey through the emotional and natural worlds that each artist creates. Through their powerful abstract expressions, these artists explore themes of energy, transformation, and the eternal dance between chaos and harmony in the world around us.
